Tower Trail

Devils Tower National Monument, Wyoming

Tower Trail is an easy 1.3 mile loop trail around the base of Devil’s Tower, allowing the visitor to enjoy close-up views of the monument, the boulder field, and the surrounding ponderosa pine forest and meadow. It takes the average hiker about an hour to complete the loop, especially if you stop at the interpretive stations located at various spots along the trail.

The ominous monument that is Devil’s Tower is always at the center of the trail, and you really get a sense of how massive this structure actually is, particularly if you catch a glimpse of a climber scaling the awesome monolith.
